- Successful placements: Earn a bonus for every candidate you refer who gets hired!
- Qualified Leads: Each lead you obtain but does not get hired pays you $$
Set your own schedule, work remotely, and watch your earnings grow!
- Actual earnings vary depending upon call volume, submitted candidates, and other factors.
What about my taxes?
As a 1099 worker (independent contractor), you’ll be responsible for paying self-employment tax, which covers Social Security and Medicare. You’ll receive a 1099 form at the end of the year that details your earnings, and you’ll need to file this with your tax return. It’s recommended to consult with a tax advisor to ensure you’re filing and paying taxes correctly.pen_spark
What equipment should I use?
In addition to the benefits already mentioned, you’ll be happy to know that DDO offers a completely web-based solution. And we do not require an invasive tech screening. This means you won’t need to download any special software on your computer!
Here’s what you’ll need to be a successful DDO Community Partner from home:
- Computer: A reliable laptop or desktop computer with internet access is still a must. CHROMEBOOKS AND TABLETS OKAY!
- Reliable Internet Connection: A stable internet connection is crucial for accessing the online CRM system, completing training modules, and conducting video calls (if used by DDO).
- Phone: A smartphone with the ability to download the Google Voice app is ideal. This app allows you to use your personal phone number for business calls while maintaining a professional separation.
What is an independent contractor?
An independent contractor is a self-employed individual or business that provides services to a company under a contract, but is not considered an employee. You will contract with us as a business. This means you set your own schedule, have more control over your work style, and are responsible for your own taxes and benefits.
Are there any fees to join the DDO Community?
There is one fee associated with becoming a DDO Community Partner: the cost of a background check, $24.99 one-time. This fee can be refunded to you via our training bonus.
Background checks are standard practice for many similar positions, and as you would not be an employee, your business is responsible to cover the cost.
However, the benefits of partnering with DDO outweigh this single fee. They offer valuable resources to help you succeed, including:
- Free CRM usage: This software helps you manage your client relationships and candidate information efficiently.
- Business email: You’ll receive a professional email address to use for communication with clients and candidates.
- Candidate leads: DDO may provide you with leads for potential candidates, saving you time and effort in your search.
- 10 days of intensive training: DDO invests in your success by offering a comprehensive training program to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive as a DDO Community Partner.
